General Welfare Pratistan

Micro-credit - Prevention of girl trafficking through the reduction of socio-economic vulnerability in rural communities. Over 70 (all female run) micro enterprises were formed in the areas of animal husbandry, vegetable farming, tailoring, candle, paper and felt making, beauty salons and food and beverage.

Peace Awareness

Through a peace project sponsored by Rotary clubs in Uganda and USA, we worked with a local artist to promote the concept of peace through collaborative efforts in the districts of Nebbi, Lira, Busia, Tororo in Uganda.

Eco Kitchen Micro-Finance

Provide opportunities for female entrepreneurs (12 in total) in Chennai, India to operate their own food carts. They received training on food security, nutrition, business techniques, self-reliance, communication, accounting and general health.

House Building

Partnered with Rotary Club of Rio Guavas, Hogar de Cristo and Rotaract Club of Annapolis to build 6 homes for families living in slum areas just outside of Guayaquil and provided each family with a 1st Aid Kit.

Literary Initiative & Teacher Training

In partnership with the Rotary Club of Quito Occidente, the Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar and Peruvian artist Tarmeño, we designed a visually alluring campaign to encourage children to read.

Water Treatment Plant

Contributed towards a gravity powered water treatment facility. A hygiene and sanitation component was included.

New Life Center - Housing and Generator

Provided housing rent and a new generator for disabled and helpless children at the New Life Center in Kathmandu, Nepal. Their goal is to provide a caring home environment with education, healthcare and the development of life skills for children with physical disabilities.

The Arulchandru Special School

Provide funds to build a school for the mentally challenged and to support their infrastructure and educational needs in Paramakudi, Tamil Nadu.

Dance Therapy Movement

In partnership with Sanved Kolkata, funded scholarships for dance therapy for women who were victims of human trafficking.

School Renovation

Partnered with Rotary Club Quito Occidente to fund the renovation of Rumiñahui School outside of Quito. Refurbished classrooms, kitchen, dining hall, windows and doors.

Construction of Library

Acted as coordinating organization for the Deng Malual Library and Education Center project. A land grant was awarded to Kindness in Action of the building of the library. In 2010, we transferred project and fundraising responsibilities to the John Dau Foundation.

Kindness Curriculum

The Kindness In Action founder, Rachael Blair, developed a kindness curriculum for elementary school children based on her book, Maya's Gossamer - A Gentle Guide on How to Manifest Virtues in Children.

Health Camps at Miondoni School

Provided general dental, eye and health camps for the children of Miondoni School (grades K-8) and their nuclear families.

Sanctuary for Elderly Widows

Provided secure housing and assisted living care (including food, clothing and medication) for 25 elderly widows and salaries for manager, cook and nurse.

Bal Jeevan Trust

Provided salaries for one teacher and one counselor in support of 85 students of Math, Science, English, History, Literature, Physical Education in Mumbai. Also provided daily supply of milk.

Girls' Home

Provided operational funding support (food, clothing, afterschool tutoring fees, toiletries, medical and dental supplies) for 10-17 girls with no family available to help them.

Women's Income Generation

Create awareness of local embroidered crafts from Kutch, Gujarat in support our kindness curriculum in the USA.

Boy's Home

Donations of boys' clothing, school and medical supplies for 16 boys at Miles Jesu Boys' Home.

Kindness In Action School

Constructed dormitory, kitchen, dining hall and provided teachers' salaries, food supplies, uniforms, medical supplies, desks, deep bore well and playground. Planted fruit trees and vegetable gardens.

Health Camps in Trichy

Organized health camps for grades 1-8 at the Annai Erica School and Infant Jesus School in Trichy, Served over 600 students and staff.

Women's Micro-Credit Project

Purchase goats and cows and to train women in animal husbandry across 3 villages in Rathinangudi.

University Student Sponsorship

Partnered with DPWA to sponsor one female student for university computer science course.
Grant was for year 1 of 3 years and includd tuition, books, transportation, room and board.

Health Camps in Quechua Communities

Conducted a 5 day health camp for hundreds of children and the elderly. Also provided a party where everyone received clothing, toys, cake and ice cream.

Furniture for isolated school

Provided benches and desks to the first school ever built in Ghiling. Ghiling village is the last forbidden kingdom of Nepal. It is in the heart of the remote upper Mustang region of Nepal. It takes 3 days from Jomsom to Ghiling by horse.
