This project began in March 2020 with visionary Rotarians Theo Venter and Chris de Bruyn at the helm from the Rotary E-Club of South Africa One.   The Rotary Club of Brig in Switzerland, the Rotary Clubs of Klerksdorp, Sunset and Flamingo in South Africa and many friends of Rotary throughout the world have either raised funds and/or delivered the porridge to at risk communities in various parts of South Africa.

This feeding scheme is the collaborative effort of North-West University and its commercial spin-off, CFAM (Centre for Advanced Manufacturing), as well as the Potchefstroom Chamber of Commerce in South Africa and the Rotary E-Club of South Africa One.  At the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown, CFAM made their pilot plant facility available for the processing of food using their innovative extrusion sustainability circuit.  Please see the video above.  It's fabulous!

Kindness in Action would like to thank CFAM for creating such a detailed, thought provoking and heartwarming video.
